Our Vision at Termic
We are specialists in solar energy, whether thermal or photovoltaic, and our goal is to be a Latin American benchmark for solar energy and hot water. We have the best technicians, the best equipment and the best clients, providing the end user with top-level installations and decades of savings and satisfaction.
Our Solar Thermal Systems are manufactured in Greece and are SEC and Solar Keymark certified, raising them to the highest global standards in terms of solar energy and hot water. The thermosiphon equipment has a zero failure rate in Chile with more than 15,000 systems installed. They are equipment designed for the quality of Chilean water. We invite you to be part of our family and see what makes us different, and how you can differentiate yourself.

Thanks to the high technology in the development of our thermosiphon-type solar thermal products, the simplicity of our equipment and the thorough knowledge of our technicians, it is possible to install solar panels throughout Chile. We invite you to visit our projects page where you will learn about Termic's vision, solar energy and hot water. A solar water heater is a natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) water heater that operates in conjunction with a solar thermal energy system. Its primary function is to ignite when the water from a thermosiphon system is not as hot as desired. The water heater monitors the outlet temperature of the solar system, and when it falls below the desired temperature, it will ignite, but not like other water heaters in Chile. In this situation, the water heater will ignite but with the flame as low as possible to maintain a stable temperature according to the user's preference. This results in significant gas savings. Most water heaters on the market, from various brands, do not have flame modulation capabilities.
It is called a solar water heater because it can:
1. Modulate the flame to use only what is necessary to compensate the solar energy system
2. It can receive high inlet temperatures from a solar system, guaranteeing a long lifespan for the water heater.
The Solar 10 water heater is a wall-mounted, forced-draft, sealed-combustion-chamber water heater for domestic hot water production. It is characterized by its extremely compact dimensions (H=567 mm, W=355 mm, D=128 mm). The appliance's regulation and control (burner ignition, temperature regulation, flame modulation, and diagnostics) are carried out via an electronic board with a microprocessor. A digital interface, complete with a screen and push buttons, allows the user to view and adjust the operating parameters.
The hydraulic circuit is equipped with a copper water/gas heat exchanger for the production of domestic hot water, a flow switch at the inlet, and temperature probes at the inlet and outlet for intercepting the demand for domestic hot water, and the respective ignition and modulation of the gas valve.
The water heater requires a minimum air flow of 25 m3/h to function correctly.

If you have doubts about choosing between a water heater and an electric water heater, you are not alone.
At Termic we help you make this decision easy, as we present the advantages and disadvantages of each system.
Advantages of a Calefont:
1. Water never runs out
2. They have a long useful life, but it will depend a lot on the quality of the water, and its hardness.
3. Almost all of them are ionized, that is, they work by electronic ignition, they do not need a pilot light.
Disadvantages of a Calefont:
1. They require gas, and therefore you need a liquefied gas or natural gas connection.
2. If you live in a building, it may be difficult to install a natural draft heater, and you will have to opt for a forced draft heater, which is more expensive.
3. They require SEC approval
4. Most water heaters need good water pressure to turn on and work properly.
Advantages of an Electric Thermos:
1. It uses electricity to operate, you only need a plug to connect it, and in Chile, this largely means that the energy comes from renewable sources.
2. They have a long useful life, just like a water heater, it will depend a lot on the quality of the water.
3. They work with practically no water pressure, or with a lot of pressure depending on the different brands.
4. Electric water heaters are very safe, since they do not use gas, there is no risk of carbon monoxide poisoning or anything like that.
Disadvantages of an Electric Thermos:
1. The water in the tank will run out, and the recovery time will depend on the size of the water heater and its respective electrical resistance. The greater the electrical resistance, the shorter the recovery time. If you have guests over for the weekend, or if the water heater is incorrectly sized, the water will run out and only cold water will remain.
